Get ready for a vibrant, high-energy evening of music, dance, and culture at TAMASHA: An Extravaganza of Desi Fusion—a festive celebration spotlighting creativity and community.

Headlining is none other than Bollywood star Raja Kumari—the Grammy-nominated artist, rapper, and songwriter known for her powerful fusion of Indian classical music with hip-hop, R&B, and electronic influences. A trailblazer in global fusion, she’s collaborated with major names like Iggy Azalea, Sidhu Moosewala, Divine, Gwen Stefani, and John Legend.

The festivities begin at 5 PM in Stanford’s beautiful Bing Concert Hall lobby with DJ Vani Dewan and a community marketplace featuring arts & crafts and food. At 6:30, join us in Bing Concert Hall for comedian Abby Govindan, a dazzling drag performance by The Masala Mahal featuring Bindi Masala, Chai Auntea, and Shaidy Bee, the Bay Area’s own Duniya Dance & Drum Company, and topping off the evening with headliner Raja Kumari.

But TAMASHA is more than just a concert—it’s a full festival experience for all ages. Enjoy hands-on art activities, craft vendors, and South Asian street food and drinks. Shop a curated vendor market featuring handmade jewelry, wearable art, and luxe scented candles by local creatives.
