Performance, Art & Learning: Duniya Drum and Dance Company at Rhythmix Cultural Works

Duniya Dance and Drum Company presents traditional and contemporary forms of Indian dance and music from bhangra, a harvest dance of Punjab, Northern India, to Bollywood dance from the modern Indian film industry and bharatanatyam, a classical dance form from Southern India. ————————————— PAL Program In 2012, Rhythmix developed its youth arts Performance, Art & Learning (PAL) program. PAL fosters a sense of pride in students’ heritage, awareness of world cultures, and celebrates diversity by offering free world music and dance assembly fieldtrips to local schoolchildren at Rhythmix. Since the program’s inception, Rhythmix has served over 12,500 youth at no cost to 24 East Bay schools.
