Come for as little as 1 week or up to 3 weeks (if you wish to come earlier and/or stay longer, please contact us)

Come spend time in Conakry, Guinea with Bongo's friends and family, and take daily classes in Guinean music and dance! We will be treated to performances by local dance companies and will take outings to experience live music and nightlife in Conakry. You will be fed home-cooked meals everyday. The price of the trip includes excursions to Rom Island and Boké, a beautiful and historic village on a river.

Before August 15:

Shared room: $750/week

Single room: $1000/week

After August 15:

Shared room: $800/week

Single room: $1100/week

Includes: Room, board, dance & drum classes, excursions to Rom Island and Boke, rides to and from the airport.

$500 deposit due upon registration. Balance due on November 15th

How to get to Guinea?

Most direct route is Air France: SFO-CDG-CKY

Depending on dates, flight is generally $1800-$2500.

You can book online, or use a travel agent. You can come on the flight with us or fly seperately. Joti can help with this.

How to prepare for the trip?

Required:

-Passport valid for at least another 6 months after return

-E-Visa ( We will help you with this )

-Yellow fever vaccine

Recommended:

-Malaria prophylactics (malarone); Typhoid vaccine, Azithromycin; other vaccines as recommended by healthcare provider

What do I bring?

When you sign up, we will provide a detailed google document with everything you need to know to bring to Guinea (Money, Embassy stuff, phones etc.)

What will we do in Guinea?

In our experience we like to see what everybody there actually wants to do and build around what people's priorities are. We like to include daily dance and drum classes, exploring Conakry, and going to both Boke & Rom Island to give you a full cultural experience.
